Is hosting the same as maintenance?
No. Hosting keeps the site online. Maintenance keeps it updated, safe and correct. Some plans include both, so check.
Do modern websites still need maintenance?
Yes, though less. A site with no plugins needs fewer updates, but it still needs backups, monitoring, domain renewals and content changes.
